Awodi (Hawk) Drumming Program
The Hawk Foundation’s lively, interactive drumming workshop leverages drumming traditions from cultures around the world and those developed by the peoples of West Africa. The Awodi Drumming Program features historical overviews of culture and instruments interspersed with live demonstrations, personal anecdotes, and call-and-response-style group music making sessions. This engaging program fosters healing and education and can be tailored to an audience of any age, skill level, or demographic.
Bespoke Educational Programs
We are proud to partner with municipalities, school districts, universities and more to bring educational programs to youth that enhance African American history curriculums and foster cultural understanding. We offer bespoke educational programming based on your school, university, or organization’s needs.
Corporate Events
We are proud to bring our interactive workshops to corporations and Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s) that are aligned with your Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. We offer dynamic, engaging events for cultural moments throughout the year, such as Black History Month and Juneteenth, that are designed to foster learning and create spaces where employees feel seen, valued, and inspired.
